To me, trauma-informed yoga is all about choice. I work with each person to find breath and movement practices that support their healing.
When living in the Bay Area, I offered trauma-informed private sessions out of Studio 20 and taught Yoga as Healing at UCSF/USF. I also facilitated trauma-informed teacher trainings for movement professionals at organizations like Pilates Done Differently, Homeless Prenatal Program, and Thriveability Yoga.
In addition to my background in counseling for survivors of sexual and domestic violence, I’ve studied trauma-informed yoga with Zabie Yamasaki, Molly Boeder Harris, and Lisa Danylchuk.
I’ve been a practitioner with The Breathe Network since 2014. The Breathe Network connects survivors of sexual violence to trauma-informed, sliding-scale, holistic healing arts professionals.
